Hey everyone :)

We've just completed an update of the Ra2 Qm map pool. The changes include the addition of three new maps! Pirate Bay by ShinSven, set to Standard; Reconcile by Dylan, set to standard; and Tournament Map X by FReQuEnZy, set to Non Standard.

Also updated was the removal of naval from the structures tab on a number of maps with no usable sea, and the adjustment of two maps- one set to Standard, the other, non standard

Special thanks to Bugsey827 from PPMSite.com for advice on how to remove the naval yard from the structures tab.

Pirate Bay

It wasn't my idea to include that map. As far as I knew it was lost in depths of Tony's hard drive. :p

Great job :)

Would be nice to replace the black screen when updating the game on first launch with some sort of message.

Good work Josh, i like the look of the hill's have eyes fix, that was an akward spot to stretch for the gems beforehand, looks much more practical now :)

Decent fixes mate.

Really nice to see ppl still working on QM/CM improvement/activity.

Olaf > your reading this? game updates are making us happy.

Mayb an idea to put the W/L stats per map and faction back, something which has been asked you multiple times in the past 6-7 years + a ST poll which ended in 30-3 but till today you ignored the request.

Damn, you really don't understand the concept of on/off topic do you?

AFAIK it was possible to build through the ore and after destroying a few trees. Very annoying and inconvenient while under attack.

That fix does improve the map balance, but I still believe that the top spawn should be moved down by a few cells.

yea you had to destroy two trees though and build in exact spots, the removal of the hill makes a much further stretch possible now though :)

It was possible before if you cleared trees, but since you're stretching with your second ref at that point, you either were required to make a tank with your first unit, or a tesla man (if soviets).

Moving R spawn lower would place the first ref closer to the gems, but since it only services 1-2 harvest loads its mostly inconsequential. In fact, the second ref actually connects well to the elevated gems at R side wall, so sweetening the position any further might imbalance the spawns in Rside's favour.

Moving the mcv puts you behind and allows your enemy to eat his gems while u take longer to get yours, more practical to stretch, especially as this is early game.

Not sure if you're serious but either way, I wanted to say Dylan I have always admired your ramp slopes. Really natural looking- I used to spend my time studying them instead of the gameplay when I would obs games there, or haha even sometimes when I was playing ^^

no. also allows you to go 1 miner as well if you can defend while since u don't have to kill trees with first tank. Should not knock it before u try it.

Now that I think about it the best BO would just be to move ur mcv right after power so you are close to 2 gem patches. then you can go either 0 or 1 miner and have a ton of cash to control the game.
