Whats the easiest way to get it so the theme songs / soundtrack work again using this downloaded method of the game?

Can I simply download the files and add to the Ra2 folder?

No they have to be in theme.mix and added to theme.ini or sound.ini. 

You can always download my custom soundtrack that's a mix of C&C 1, RA1, TS and Ra2 tracks..

Copy theme.mix and thememd.mix into your ra2 folder from a CD, if you dont have a CD i can email you the files.

Alt tab back to desktop -> YouTube -> look for a RA2 playlist -> alt tab back to RA2
