Topic is pretty close.

In which file is my password stored?

I tried one of the other servers, and it messed with my main nick password.

Even with opening game as administrator, i have the autofill on main nick giving me the password for the other server, is there a way to correct this in one of the files on RA2?

Thank you

Aren't your passwords for nicks on xwis game account? Click on the nick tells you password above

password is on game account.

unless password created before game account, then you can reset all nicks on account by clicking "reset password" on game account.

I'm talking about logging in to the game for playing

If I run game as administrator, and go to log-in screen (via custom/quick match) tbiol is main nick......however stored/saved password is from the other server.

to correct the issue, i go to manage account, unselect checked box, and switch to Default.....go back to quick match, the type in password.....

after game has been played, if i go to quick match, i get 'incorrect password'

therefore:  where is my password stored for log-in?  Perhaps, i can manually change or delete file that's causing me the issue.

i understand that my password is located on my Game Account page, i am talking in game

You mean ra2.in? I had the same issue, but had two ra2's. But, I also had another issue. On gameranger every time a game finishes I get an internal error.

I know this isn't helpful, but just letting you know that I had the same issue.

In response to this topic.  I am apologizing to anyone in the past few days who has had the unfortunate dealing when trying to connect to me.

I delete (like 5 files of the game, in different folders, anything that said red alert 2) game, and reinstalled.  I deleted game due to not storing passwords, and that I have been getting a black screen after the game loads....game stats show RE.    I am forced to Cntrl+Alt+Del to get out of the locked up game as well as you are too, i assume.

I reinstalled on sunday, and am still experiencing this quite often today.  So, my apologies to Tim, Finale, Mikoz...and whomever else I have caused games to crash prior to starting.  I will reinstall again, at a later time, to try to correct.

Sorry,

Uninstall all trace of Ra2 on your PC

Go to Run and type 'Regedit'

Find HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wchat.

Delete the folder and all contents.

Reinstall ra2.

Re-enter your information on ra2.

,

Because of using different client's the registry key's occasionally become corrupt. Having the game recreate the registry key resolves the issue.

@tbiol
So... is this problem solved? If so, what did you do?
