In the spirit of "November activity boost" I have decided to hold a Blitzkrieg tournament. (Dates/schedule will be addressed when enough players have signed up)
Rules: (Varied to change, make sure you check these after the tournament schedule has been decided)
1. Atleast 8 players have to sign up
a. In order to sign up you must present the nickname you are going to use, the matches will be played as tournament matches, so choose your names wisely.
2.All matches played will be Official Tournament matches.
a. In order to get credit for a win, you must have auto ss(or take a /r/dpl during game) and post a link with stats to the game that was played. This also deters cheating as you will get banned from the server due to it being an official game with stats.
3. Tournament System
a. This will be a one win move on brackett tournament, however you will have 2 chances.
b. Each player will have an allied spot, and a soviet spot in the bracket(using the same nickname, and all spots are randomized)
c. If you match up against yourself (allied vs soviet) you get a bye for that round and choose allies or Soviets to move on.
SIDENOTE: if you magically happen to play yourself in the finals, you get to keep 1st and 2nd place prizes
D. The maps for each round will be pre-determined and will be an expansion type system. I.e. smaller maps in early rounds and gradually moving on to bigger maps
4.Map Pool:
The map pool for this tournament may contain some maps for you to download and is subject to change until the official tournament brackett has been released, but here is an idea of some maps that might make the cut (due to the nature of the system, two maps of the same size will more then likely not make the cut)
A. Official tournament map B, a path beyond ll TRvsBL, urban rush, south pacific, lake blitzen, heartland, Malibu cliffs, caverns of Siberia, tiger bay (night), etc....
A true list will be released after the tournament entry stage.
5.tournament entry
A. All you have to do is post in this topic, with a nickname,email address, and mindset to win, this is not a private tournament.
B. You will be rewarded for signing up early: if too many players have signed up, the players who signed up the latest will have to free for all (1 unit+crates on a pre-determined map) for entry.
Map and how many player will be determined by amount of late players.
6.prizes.
If ATLEAST 8 people do not sign up these prizes will be null and void.
1st:$25 (and a banner for your signature if someone is willing to make one)
2nd:$15
3rd:$10 (losers of the semifinals will face off on a pre-determined map)
This system has a unique set of rules, and if you do not like them oh well.
This is a tournament for those who think they can go the distance.
ALSO: if anybody would like to record the semifinals+3rd place battle and Finals, p.m. me,as I'm not sure if I can record or I might be in there!
