Alright, good. Thanks!
To whoever will watch the recording, only qm I played was at minute 58.

Yeah it was very smooth, especially when you were playing against the AI But jokes aside, it was good, but could be better with some commentary, even if you're just telling the viewers what you're eating or what's on TV or how your day's been, or that you're playing in the nude, while you're waiting for a match. I know it sounds weird but it keeps people watching (this is what other people do on their vids half the time, they're not even talking about the vid itself, and sometimes it turns out to be funny ).
Just a side note, YouTube should allow for viewers to chat while the vid is live (now where's that suggestion box...)

I agree. However, I don't plan on doing this regularly. I was just curious to see how the new YouTube feature works
YouTube will probably add chat soon. I'm sure lots of people want that feature. It's still in the beta.

I think it's better for several reasons:
- recordings are automatically saved on YouTube
- you can watch the stream at several different qualities
- you can "go back in time" when watching the live stream
- you can advertise the live stream on YouTube
- YouTube is used by everyone, unlike twitch

Make sure you get 100 subscribers first since that's one of the requirements

I was looking, it's good but i also think youtube is not the best for this actually !
Posted 04 November 2013 - 05:51 PM
Why isn't YouTube good for this?
Posted 05 November 2013 - 03:56 AM
I dont agree with you dsector. Twitch is a platform with tons of game streams where you can do
- also the ability to change stream quality
- add text under your stream
- chat
- subscribe streams
- follow streams, when someone goes live you get an email
- you dont need 100 people to do something for you before you can stream
- and you can also save videos
And i probably forgot some other features. Twitch is the way to go if you want to stream! Oh and delete xsplit, obs is taking over these days for free!
What's so great about OBS than Xsplit?
Posted 05 November 2013 - 08:44 AM
Its free and without ads. The control panel is a look-a-like so it feels like a stripped versions of Xsplit. A lot of professional streamers moved to OBS. I remember a max quality setting in Xsplit for non premium users.... anyways OBS doesnt have any restrictions and its totally free!

OBS seems to record at better resolutions / stream at higher quality, but it lagged my game like 10x more than xsplit did (probably due to the reso)

- twitch only lets you lower the quality of the live stream not of the recording
- YouTube allows you to add text boxes even directly on the video
- chat is for spammers (comments on youtube work fine for now)
- subscribe also works on YouTube
- email notification also works on YouTube
- twitch deletes your recordings if you don't manually save each one
So how is twitch better? (besides that you don't need 100 subscribers)
I don't think you ever used YouTube Live so not sure why we're debating this

Im not sure how people are going to find your stream on YouTube? Twitch is a well organized site for (game) streams with a very good interface that YouTube doesn't offer (yet).

Most people here know my YouTube channel (dsect0r) and all of my subscribers are RA2 fans . Also, if someone watches any of my videos while I'm live streaming, they will be notified that a live stream is going on.
You can also search for live streams on YouTube. You can also advertise it on YouTube ads (if you want to pay).
On twitch, the only people that ever watch are the ones that find my link on XWIS.
