as for waypoints, i need to control dem dogs for scout

target lines are useless, just annoying.

What about waypoints while basetrading (targeting 1 building after another to minimize delay while you focus on defending your base), or 'hit n run' waypoints (like droning a deso and making sure your drone returns asap before it gets killed), or waypoint engis!  (jk, but there are other uses for waypoints that I can't think of right now)

 

I use target lines to make sure that I've clicked the flak-trak / ifv properly with my drone, and not on the ground (I also use waypoint for this), and also attacking a drone with my miner to ensure that the drone is targeted.

 

What about those^ situations?

Ill way point dogs at the start but also keep an eye on them once most of the scouting is done, ill then way point them to the last shroud bits and then waypoint them back home

well, i probably dont use them cuz ive never used them, habits u know.

 

as for ur examples, i think its harder n more of an effort to waypoint my drones into desos and out then just do it by clicking, same goes for basetrading.

might be wrong, but thats just me.

the only usefull thing of waypoints i can think of is scouting early, cuz afaik it also autoatks other dogs, but i dislike such advantages and love to scout early so thats no option for me

 

i get what u mean with the target lines, but when u target something successfully it "blinks" shortly, this gives me the confirmation.

cuz A) back then with old pc's we had to play with settings to get faster speed, such as disabling target lines.

and B) they were just somewhat of annoying to me

 

so pretty much got used to that and didnt change since then.

Dogs don't auto-attack in wp mode, unless you hold down ctrl+shift+z. But I don't use this because it was much less effective than pressing 's' or just dodging.

 

Everything else makes sense, good points.

I sometimes ct shift z but usually just z and if i see doggehs i jus move into eat them up *gobble gobble protein for the puppies*

I use to click on the dots to select my units before. Now I use T/TT. I also did change from just clicking on sell to assigning it a hotkey "A". 

 

I feel that the way my hand is positioned is pretty awkward. I should have my fingers on qwer but I have my left ring finger on Q, middle finger on F1 and thumb on spacebar.

I use waypoints from time to time. The only times I consistently do it is when there's a basetrade so I waypoint his buildings and then try to defend my base.  I've broke habbits over the years and added new ones. I use to click on the dots to select my units before. Now I use T/TT. I also did change from just clicking on sell to assigning it a hotkey "A".

When my dogs come out and i number them and move them around I hit space to take me back to my barracks when I hear "unit ready" to number the next dog/unit

I used to right click on the screen to cancel what I currently had selected before selecting something else. For example, I'd have my 1st group of tanx selected, then I'd scroll to my second group of tanx and just before selecting the 2nd group, I'd 'un-click' the 1st group by right-clicking  somewhere on the screen and then I'd select the 2nd group

I'll often set specific goals when I play.

 

eg.

 

Beat a player with only 1 wf.

Tech up on 5 miners

get an elite v3 launcher

get an elite harrier

get an elite desolator

try to use lots of conscripts

use lots of drones

try to split a lot

try to win a game without tanks

try to make my opponent quit (personal favorite)

try to make a pretty base

 

etc.

Lol I like getting into a rhythm when I press /attack and sometimes people just can't keep up or I play 2 games then there are no games and I'm just getting warmed up/in the zone and I get mad and throw my chair at the wall jump out of my window come back and still no more games.
I have adhd lol when I'm hype I'm hype and I get really irritated if I have to wait for games when I want to play like that
