Recently ive noticed a lot of report's and situations where players suspect other's of cheating and do not have an xgs replay of the game.

 

Id urge the community to get xgs, its simple to run and even if you dont know how to read it or work it out, you can easily post it upon the site and a member of staff will do it for you.

 

We have the auto SS now but in a lot of cases the auto screenshot simply isnt enough, and XGS is not included in the auto SS it has to be ran seperatly. By simply running XGS when you play you can help put an end to cheating on ra2, let's face it no-one wants to play a cheater, and its frustrating when you cant do anything about it, or you report it and it cant be proven even though we all know exactly what happened. Help the staff, to help you ban the player's you play with that are cheating. Run Xgs!

I assume this was a result of me (and possibly others) not using XGS. Well i'm not gonna lie, I probably still wont use it after reading this. If I play vs a clear cheater and post a /r/dpl SS of us playing that is also uploaded to XWIS website via Auto SS uploader, will this be proven? If not then it's kinda useless to use Auto SS..apart from the new maps

Auto SS proves some cheats but not all, XGS will prove almost all, and no this was not aimed at any particular person, its just something that the community should use that would help in the long run, its 1 extra click before you play RA2, i don't understand why you wouldn't use it.

There should be more benefit to using it. I think it should auto run when you use Ra2 update, that would be cool.

The benefit of players using it has been extraordinary to this game. The amount of cheaters its caught over the years has benefitted everyone who plays ra2 whether they use it or not, if every player ran xgs and had the auto ss then cheating would be gone, unfortunatly that probably wont happen, however if the fair active players where to use both we would be a lot closer to eliminating cheating

Oh I do agree, I myself have caught many cheaters with it over the years and therefore I do agree that it has been a useful tool. However you yourself said it in a past tense hinting at the fact that it may be all but redundant at this stage. Auto SS is a far clearer, faster and all round more logical tool to use. The sooner it becomes mandatory the better I think. Or Pack XGS and Auto SS into one 'Ra2 Essentials' pack..........................which later becomes mandatory

I agree in an ideal world XGS would be loaded on Ra2 start-up, integrated with ra2, and become mandatory along with Auto SS.

 

It is only a powerful tool for catching cheaters when used in conjunction with XGS. It is an essential tool for general fair play.

Yes - I boot it and forget about it, doesnt impact me in the slightest.

i never intended that to come across in a past tense, its far from redundant imo, u can still catch cheaters for using a lot more cheats than on the auto ss and its clearer and more definite, Combining it into ra2 however is a good idea.
