where can i get it to get the biggest reso for my game ?

Start Ra2 (make sure you restart it if Ra2 is already running) type Hires or hires and you hear a sound, then go to settings and change

yea i know that i dowloaded the ss uploader now i cant get no more my normal reso 1600 - 900 only 1024-800 whats wrong here now i deleted everything and try again.. ahh thats bulls.. now game dont work anymore..

Try Ra2.ini in your Ra2 folder.

man this update shit messed all my ra2 up.. never should try to download it.. nothing works at all..

to be honest im stuck on this same issue i have tried using hires in the menu and clicked on higher resolution however everytime i join someones game it doesnt let me play at the resolution   HELPPPPPP SOMEONE !

If you download the RA2 (multiplayer-only) version from here, it already comes with the patch (aka Auto-SS) as well as the resolution fix. To minimize compatibility issues and other common problems, use the RA2 (multiplayer-only) version for online play and leave your disk version for single-player missions/skirmish.

The game installers can be found at Support -> Downloads (top of page).
If using Windows 7/Vista, have a quick read of Support -> Windows 7/Vista.

yah i had the same problem you have to download and install the patch and that'll fix it. I got mine fixed with the help of littldot (wayne)

It still doesnt work man i really need a step by step guide for this ..... everytime i try the patch my game never works im running xp just installed xp for this game

okay i managed to get everything resolution all good now when i try playing a qm or go into internet online gaming in lobby such as cm's qm's it asks me to reduce my resolution again any advice on this ?

do you run the game as administrator?

might sound odd, but try running game normally and DONT type hires at the start. I reinstalled a couple times and did this and it worked!

you can edit RA2.ini into C:/ProgramsFiles/RedAlert2 with your resolution. Move it into deskop for edit it.

Edit: Used it today on my desktop to get max resolution.
