Hi there,

 

I'm new to online play, but using my original serial number, I've created a new nickname and got a password which has allowed me to play online. I can join games, but I can't seem to create them. I always get the message "you can't make a channel with this password try removing spaces and punctuation".

 

Does anyone know why this is? Should i be using a special password?

What game? Are you trying to create a password-protected channel?
Maybe your WOLAPI is outdated: http://xwis.net/forums/index.php/topic/177134-downloads/

Thanks for the suggestion... Tried updating and installing WOLAPI to no avail. Any other thoughts?

Are you trying to create a password-protected channel?
How did you install the game? Is it the original CD version?

Installed from here. I don't know how to create a password protected channel. In fact I don't really know what a channel is. I'm just clicking on the create game option and then typing in my password (the same one I use to log into the game online).

 

Any ideas?

You don't need a password. Just leave that blank so that anybody can join your game. You only type in a password if you want specific players entering your game and nobody else.
