Long time player for many moons, then stopped playing and miss it. 1st time with xwis. Also missing the human element of playing can anyone direct me. I have logged in to find no matches online in the xwis?

If you are logging into the ra2/yr lobby and there are no players/games then it is because of an error. What message is displayed?

I have been playing the Command & Conquer franchise on and off since it first came out.  I recently Ra2 for free on Origin and very much looking forward to meeting some new people on here.  I used to play on GameRange, tunngle and CnCnet

I just realized what we did wrong. It was definitely the password. RA2 never really let you know if the password is incorrect so I assumed it was my xwis password. Thank you everyone though!!

Hello you all. 

 

I'm Tim, from the Netherlands. 

Used to play a lot of Ra2 on skirmish and later on against my brother a couple of times. We always had trouble trying to figure out 

how to play online. I happened to see Ra2 for free on origin, so I thought let's give it a go and try it online. 

 

I have never been one for rushing, which is probably the way to go for everyone.. Was pretty decent at the slow playstyle, building defences etc Always thought that to be a lot of fun ... But I guess I'll have to start

as a big newb now, hope rushing is a bit fun too. (that's what everyone does here right?)

Welcome Tim,

 

It depends what you class as 'rushing'. If its nobody attacking you for 10 mins then most players playing will 'rush'. If you are playing Quick matches/tournaments especially, then i would suggest you need to adapt your gameplay style, like you seem willing to do.

 

Try looking through some of the topics here: http://xwis.net/forums/index.php/forum/28-strategy-and-tactics/ to help you. Eco is key to being able to keep up and you should be able to find some basic build orders.

 

Also look at some videos on youtube of pro ra2 players.
