As far as I know this guide still works, however, when you try actually playing an ra2 game a website will keep coming up and you won't be able to play until you link your QQ # to a Chinese ID (i think?) so you have to have a Chinese player help you. I suggest PMing Michel to help you with matter as he helped me and a few others as well.
Also, if you can't get it to work you can play on my QQ account
