Hi all!
I installed the auto ss patch, but i got the game from my original cd with valid serial, and it doesnt start after the patch installed.
So now i reinstall the whole game, but i would like to know, is there a way to get all the "not original" qm maps without the auto ss patch?!
I really like the new maps, but the patch doesnt work. Is there a way to fix this in my way?

Yes there is, follow our install instructions. http://xwis.net/forums/index.php/topic/171246-information-and-guide-to-using-xwis-ra2-update/

In short use the RA2 Multi player installer by Olaf. Once you have everything running from the tutorial you can copy your mix files across from the CD to reinstate music etc.

Patch doesn't seem to work with cd installs. Download the no cd install which you'll find in the link Neo's posted and install the patch there.

I uninstalled ra2 cd version, and installed Red_Alert-2-0.0.0 and the patch too, and the same error appears. (id didnt asked for serial, so with this anyone can play without
an original ra2 serial?!)
Btw this isnt what i looking for. I just need the qm maps patch, i reinstall with my cd with original valid serial, and thats all. Dont need this
patch cause theres too much trouble with it.

Are you running as admin?

It doesnt ask for serial anymore as that is what the control panel is for: http://xwis.net/control_panel/

You use your Strike-team account to log in and register your serial and an XWIS password is generated for your nicks

Generally speaking, the patch saves you time posting SS's for fairplay. The patch is all in one and cannot be separated just for maps.

Go to your folder c:\program files\red alert 2, and change all exe files properties to run in compatibility mode for win95/98/me. Then run red alert 2.exe

i deleted everything, now i try to install the no cd version and the patch again. i use window XP sp3

when i copy the mix files for sounds ect. should i overwrite the old ones?!

one more little thing. i cant accept all the games where unoffical map is in set.
like i cant accept mount olymps, but i downloaded thc4 undeba.
if i remember correctly, last time i saved down my downloaded maps before reinstalled the comp. i hope ill find them.

after testing a few things i figured it out. everything is fine now, have new maps, have auto ss, have music, and have the maps like cs, mount olympus etc which were missing.

ok in future, ONLY REPLACE "THEME" mix file for music. YOU DO NOT NEED TO COPY/REPLACE ANY OTHER MIX FILES.

replacing the "multi" mix file screwed up everything.

u just made me waste 30mins of my life
