Introducing your new and improved Yuri's Revenge Quick Match!

We are very pleased to announce that on June 1st 2012 at 6PM BST you will have the chance to double your ladder points over the weekend until the 3rd of June 2012 12PM BST.

In addition to this you will no longer be playing the out-dated update we saw applied some time ago, but instead playing in a new and revised update (as of which is already in place and ready for the new month). We have made changes to existing maps, and have approved the addition of over 40 plus new ones.

Double points will apply to the Yuri's Revenge Quick Match and Clan Match ladders only in the said time frame.

A special thanks goes out to Prep for preparing the new map renovation for YR, and to Olaf for implementing the new changes. We hope to see you on the Yuri's Revenge battlefield a lot more in the months to come comrades!

Excellent job Neo! That's fantastic.

I am really eager to see how it works out for yuri players. Regardless of the solution, I am happy to play yuri on other maps. I hope yuri players can see the fun in branching out to new maps and I hope that they prove to be equal maps.

Other than that - just the fact that there are 40 or so new maps for allied/soviet warfare is awesome. Yuri's will be really random and fun again.


Now if we can get some games... that's awesome!

Btw... Loaded Barrel, Let There Be fight, Little Piece of dune, and Four Corners in qm?!! YES! Old wol qm maps, true greatness of qming!

Also -- Neo -- When doing this patch, is supers OFF for allied vs. yuri warfare? This is Highly important regarding the new Yuri vs. allies maps involved. If supers are on, some of those maps will be freewin for Yuri on the new maps.

And thanks Olaf for taking the time to do this, and also work out a double points weekend to start it off.

In particular :

These are not suppose to be Allied vs. yuri, but rather Sov vs. Yuri. Am I misreading something?

I think I requested alaskan Oil spill but I was thinking more like Artic Circle because thats one of the best Ra2 maps in the game and yuris too. It would be fair because the dogs would beat the brutes to the center and yuri would need a strategy to reclaim half of his center. Can you guys make Quick Co-Op work? Is that even possible on the server? Isn't Quick co-op where all the Toe games started or something? Because back than a 2d pyramid was amazing graphics LMao!!! Four corners, Kalifornia and Russian Roulette what about those maps? against yuri seems fair.

On another note. I think most of the players that played Yuri's revenge alot agree on some things. Don't put Urban rush against yuri for example thats auto win and brutal. Nor alot of the navel maps. We all agree on those things because its obvious and we won't argue about urban rush. I think all navy maps were off against yuri.. But one ok navel map against ALlied Is lake blitzen because believe it or not.. The destroyers are stronger than boomers. I know that kinda blows your mind but 2 destroyers 2000 dollars is better than a 2000 dollar single boomer. But I do not know if soviet would stand a chance against yuri on lake blitzen because the submarines are weeker than boomers. Destroyers are better than Typhoon attack subs strangely.. And squid can't grab the sub but does damage I believe. I only fought navy wars against yuri so rarely because never in Qm . It would be fun to fight against yuri under fair conditions. Tournament B = NO WAY but lake blitzen, maybe even depth charge but not sure because never been in that situation.

And heck freezes over seems pretty fair against yuri. I played a ffg in it against the good yuris years ago and seemed pretty fair. You can spam seige and makes it hard against yuri and your constantly iron curtaining him. If you think yuri will go to center and just bunker up it is not a good idea because sov or allies can split units and swarm yuri and use spy plane to to scout him then come in the center with iron curtain tanks.

France is a monster in Yuris revenge though people underestimate... But france is only good on offense defense on current QM's And other map he will go broke or get rushed.. France is good on the alamo sometimes because you move to center and base walk entire map.. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. But france and robot tanks is so anti yuri.. So their is 2 lame countries don't just wah wah wah over yuri. And by the way i think france good on depth charge because you can forceably take the center oils.

Yea we couldn't add multiple A & S for instance. Nor could we force super weapons on particular maps, something we need to look into at a later date AFAIK. Is there something you would like to see alternatively?

They should only be 'unclicked' for a certain situation -- such as Allies vs. Yuri.
