It's not hard to get 8 planes...especially on heck. But there were definitely some impressive korea players from wol days. Secon0058 (ken) was very impressive

Keep in mind, that tactic is for the start/when you need better eco. Overall, it will cost you money/having permanent flak cannons in the right spot can be useful

korea worked perfectly vs players like myself, since i cant just build up and wait in base, i always have to attack.
thats why top players like w0nna used korea mostly vs me. instantly built an eagle and rock since they knew i would attack from min 1.
if youre against korea, distract him with a rush, force him to waste money on eagle and rocks (so his eco will be bad), then chill back in base. have a cannon ready. build up 2nd waf, get fodder and do 1 attack and youve won since he wasted too much early money on a possible rush.

in the end it always depends on the map, spot, situation and who youre playing, so its always hard to say how to play.

experience and motivation is the key to success, just like with everything else.

There are certain ways you can increese the odds of the eagle firing twice, but its still a very small chance and generally not worth it, and the for opposing player its impossible to tell if its gonna fire twice or not.

You only need flak cannons to protect buildings, rest of them can be dodged rather easily, it nearly defeats korea jets if you know how to micro correctly. My greatest problem is jets with rockies vs warfs and such.

I really liked Korea on high level for the fact that on certain 'sov' maps it is so much better than USA.
For example on Urban Rush or Tourny A. As USA you're pretty much outforced to do either a lucky drop or have the middle with luck. Soviet is faster with barracks so its tough to get middle advantage.
Most soviets sell MCV pretty early and as USA you will just die,. Winrate on those 2 maps as USA = 25%, Winrate on those 2 maps as Korea would probably 70% eventhough it are considerd Sovmaps
As Korea you either force them to keep their MCV and delay their rush or put mayhem on them with 2 eagles. Since the distance is short you can kill alot of tanks very quickly.

Korea is very good on even maps like Heartland or Snow valley because of the wide spread of buildings. Getting a Tech lab or warfac with eagles is great. But the best thing is that on maps like that you can go up to 8 eagles and kill 4 tanks at a time and sometimes even a MCV. (You have to watch out that they don't undeploy right before you attack or you'll miss).
On Heartland lategame they will need 10 flack canons atleast and even then I would just move my tanks so that they are forced to come out and play. And then 4 tanks die. If they ran from my eagles towards their canons, their mineral line would be trashed by my veteran grizzly. these 2 maps are really great for the long game Korea vs sov.

As Korea you need more money than as USA and therefore it is extremely annoying if people go 0 or 1 miner on maps where you want to go 2 miners. You as an Korea player need to mine very correctly to keep your flow going.
Planes will be later, because you need tanks and your eco will be low. If they attack you before you could have done enough damage with eagles. you're in a tough spot.

Korea is alot harder for AvA though , since eagles are less effective and rocketeers are more the core of the battle.
Korea is better for AvS, but that even depends on some players. I liked to play USA vs some player and I liked to play Korea vs other players. This is why I sometimes during the season I switched teams for a bit.
Some players would always get my secret paradrops and vs them I used eagles to the max. some other players were good vs korea but were a sucker for my drops.

It all depends on a persons style. I'm also sure that the players who play Korea nowadays also play a very different Korea than what I used to play
