Hi guys
I started playing red alert 2 again however even after i open the ports, the game wont connect with other players.
any help please

What exactly happens? Does it just take you back to the lobby? Freeze? Any error messages?

well it says did not connect with other players and then takes me back to lobby

just played a game right now and it work. hopefully it will carry on working

the game just work for that once unfortunately.
what happens is that first it says 'unable to connect with other players' and then returns to the lobby

Which Windows are you using? If Win Vista or Win7, make sure to run it in admin mode. If XP, use Win98 compatibility mode.
Make sure that the file wsock32.dll is not in your RA2 folder.

If you're quick matching, you do know it times out after a certain amount of time has passed.

I think you only need to run game.exe in compatability mode since its the main program.
