Ok, got one for ya.
I have all the maps for RA2, but when someone comes into the game it says I don't have them.
Like I asked in the lobby if anyone wanted to play the new maps because the same were getting a little boring, (usually me losing)
I got alot of replies and many people who were up to play.
When I opened the game with the Tour of Egypt map everyone that came had the maps, but I didn't.
It happens with all the new ones. I have them. I can play skirmishes, single player with them, but not against another person.
What have I done wrong this time?

Only one place Fireworks, here of course.(hehe) I only dl stuff I get here.
I follow you and Frequency's advice and try to get the things I need to play.
I was thinking to do a complete wipe and re, but no way am I gonna lose the ability to play.
I am able to play now because of Neo's personal help to get me up and running when the auto ss came into service.

I just thought you may have gotten the maps from previous (obsolete) patches or a zip file that rumblesom posted a month or two ago.
So, this is sorted now?

That's probably what happened. I've had these files since the auto ss started. Neo got it to work for me about 6 weeks ago and I've been playing since.
So, as of this moment, I can't connect to anyone with the new maps because it says I don't have them, but I clearly have them enough to play a single player against comps.
It's prob a patch I have and didn't do right, or a patch I do not have?

• Are you running RA2 via Red Alert 2.exe?
• In your RA2 folder, is there a file called "remove xwis qm maps.exe"?

when u go to quick match does it say the line nat:(good) or nat something or other? if not your running the wrong exe. also when u go to skirmish (offline play) and try select the new maps does it say missing before them?

So you opened a RA2 game, and you picked the map (TOE), and yet the server tells you that you don't have the map? Is that right?

Pretty much correct.
I click on my RA2 application to go to the online play.
I click the internet, custom match.
I open a game as the host. I pick the map, tour of egypt, as example and then when people come they can't accept.
So I was with a couple of others that had the map and said, "they'll host"
so I go to their game and it says I don't have the map.
It's probably something simple that I haven't learned yet.
Anytime I dl from here, I'm supposed to put it in the folder I posted, correct?

Please understand this only happens to those new maps.
Not the mod or original maps.

All I can suggest is to re-download the new-maps-auto-ss patch (Red Alert 2.0.0.2) by clicking HERE, then reinstall it. Make sure to install it in "c:\Program Files\Red Alert 2".

put the new xwis.dll and red alert 2.exe in ur ra2 dir, then launch the game via red alert 2.exe to use the ss taker/ play the new maps

The Auto SS Uploader maps are NON-TRANSFERRABLE MAPS. Where you are used to Mod-Maps, which are transferrable during normal For Fun Game, games.
