Just start playing, there is no need to watch replays if you haven't played the game. Start playing and learn the mechanics, then you can watch some replays when you know the basics.

Anyone have any tips for a beginner?

i suggest you do practice mode before starting your ladder placement, go random for a while and get a feel for the team you like, decide what type of game you want to go for MACRO or MICRO.

i also suggest you set your hotkeys to something similar of ra2's that way you can get a better jump with your buildings.

for instance my main build keys are

qwe - first line
asd - second line
zxc - third line

also make sure you go into your global and adjust your keys to left side, sc2 will inform you if you have unset keys.

you also may adjust your keys to the team, so for instance you may have your probe with protoss build with q but your drone with zerg built with e

Is there a faster way to get around the map? Like on RA2 there's right click. The campaign is kind of boring as of now =|

Can't you just use grid layout?

i used the grid layout when i was playing on the EU server, when i switched to the NA server i readjusted my whole game because the styles from each server are completely different, then i found it easier using those keys, with my improvement lately i went from silver to now matching high plats and diamond players.
