XGS-Frame 490: Miner ordered to harvest unscouted gems after being ordered away from the nearby ore patch it initially went to harvest on.

Sorry, but weren't there just recently "proven" cases like this that ended up not being valid because of some glitch or something? How do you know this is different? Just curious

Ore Miners can only 'harvest' unrevealed ore/gems automatically, e.g. from a War Factory rally point or a newly built Refinery that is placed nearby.

If the miner is placed right on top of gems or ore in shroud the miner will auto mine the ore or gems but i dont know if it will make a target line or not ive never used xgs

You're wrong. Your miner first moved to the ore patch (in harvest mode) next to your ore refinery as shown in frame 458. The mode is changed to "move" on frame 475. Afterwards it is changed once again to harvest mode on frame 490 to the gems which is unscouted.

I hate to say this, but Shiftingra2 is right, like he said, I Don't Know about Harvest mode or anything like that.
But what do you expect the miner to do when it gets there.. sit on the gems? it starts to mine them!

But like you said it might switch to harvest mode after it gets there i'm really not sure, but i am positive that if i send my miner to ore or gems in shroud and leave it there, it will start mining on it own..(100% on YR) i'm pretty sure it's the same on ra2, and it's kind of common sense.. but yeah it's all about if it goes into harvest mode or not though.

Please don't warn, just offering knowledge on-to the subject thanks.

If the miner went into harvest mode directly to the gems after the Ore Refinery was placed, that would be true. The miner would have had done it automatically and suspicion of maphack would be diminished. However, on this example, the miner went into harvest mode for the ore patch first and then directed to mine gems which are not scouted. I support this verdict 100%
