This guide will run through the different points on how to play on the chinese Red Alert 2 server.
Follow it point by point!!!

1. First you need to register for a QQ account here.
Make sure you activate it as well.
(click the link below)

http://en.emailreg.qq.com/

2. Download QQ Server tool from here. (click the one of the links below)

> Download <

> Alternative Download <

3. Install the QQ Server tool and log in with your account ID number.

qqlogin.png

4. Click the Red Alert 2 icon on the left panel and expand it's list, then select the version 1.006 server shown on the image.

serversgameslist.png

5. Click on a lobby that you want to join like shown on the image.
You can find the best players at lobbies 10 & 12.

6. Now you need to configure the QQ server tool to enable launching Red Alert 2 through it.

configurationh.png

The directory for C&C First decade users is
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alertâ„¢ II\RA2

7. Launch the game through the QQ Battlezone server tool and enjoy!
On Red Alert 2 just click network instead of Internet to play on the chinese server.

You should be able to play on both XWIS and QQ Battlezone now.
There is no need to download a seperate Red Alert 2 installation or files.

Also when playing on the chinese network I use the same username as my ST which is also my most known xwis username
with an added [xwis] tag to let them know where I'm coming form.
So they will know where all these good players are coming from.

NOTE: The best players can be found in lobbies 10-12!
You can see which is which by the light green numbers. They can be a bit hard to notice on some screens.

Also some of the best players play on a separate area of the lobby, to find them you have to go to RA2's options and

then go to network options to add 123 as the socket number. After doing that return to RA2 main menu and re-enter the lobby through the network option.

NOTE 2: As of recently some players from outside of China have encountered problems joining the lobbies on this server, this is due to the QQ accounts now requiring a Chines ID attached to them to play. Use one of the ID numbers from below.

Chinese ID Numbers

Sure, It's a proven way to access the server and you can get a much more active game this way. Be it ffgs (chinese) or tournaments & ladder (xwis).
Also it would be nice if an admin could sticky this.

Thanks. What can I say, I enjoy playing it. Once sc2 comes out I won't play as much. That is until I can manage to get my Elite edition working and released.

Hmm, I got that a few times in those cases I just exited ra2 and launched it again through the QQ battlezone program.
After which it worked fine.

Thats not in chinese it's in random symbols because you don't have the chinese language pack installed for your operating system.

Then the problem is caused by your hardware / software configuration.

Considering we have no idea of what the error message represents, theres no need to jump to such conclusions.
Chances are you might cause more problems like that. I think you might have better luck asking one of the chinese players on the forum.
If they got no clue, then install a chinese language pack so it actualy displays a legible message for them.

misschien is de error message iets van "to many failed attempts" ofziets =]

succes...
