Perhaps I'm tired and just not getting it. Could you please clarify.III. Furthermore: When TS was new, players reaming accounts and clans in the ladders was already old.
Yep, the elites are rarely one-map wonders. I assume some elite players played mod maps (the good ones). I know stefor played some for awhile until wuss hosted a "cheated" version to beat him.In my opinion, the "top players" should include those aspects of character involving those who contribute to the community. Like those running legacy C&C websites, they would at the top of my lists if I had them. I also believe true skill in a TS player involves being good at adapting to new mods and ww maps all of the time, including "****" new units and "****" like that. Skill isn't about how fast you can kill someone on Terrace. It's about how durable and how well you can adapt to being an effective player in all kinds of situations, mods and ww.

Thank you dan3157.
Reaming is the act of creating a fake account, (or in the case of clan tournaments, making one and joining a clan) and setting up tournament games to intentionally lose to award free wins and points to your account. Usually players do it with a friend, but I've known some who have done it on two computers of their own with two Tiberian Suns running.
Yeah, and just about all of the players I would consider elite have that mentality when it comes to skill. Sure they dread some maps over others sometimes, but they always press accept, lol.

Ahh, thanks. I don't ever recall seeing a TS player call it that before hehe. Only "point pushing" is coming to mind.Reaming is the act of creating a fake account, (or in the case of clan tournaments, making one and joining a clan) and setting up tournament games to intentionally lose to award free wins and points to your account. - Long ago, clan members would give free wins to one of their own who was high ranked.
- I've seen at least one case, where a player joins a clan and then give free wins to his real allegiance
In 1999 to early 2000, Westwood actually intervened in blatant cases of reaming on the tournament ladder.
Thankfully reaming wasn't an overwhelming problem in the clan ladder. The TON2 crowd usually disregarded the reamers, like C0LD* in this example.
