Hi.

I thought stopping dogs and using cntrl alt to scout and attack is all there is to know about winning dog fights but, against the better players I'm getting turbo munched on maps like urban rush where its vital to protect men going into buildings. Even when their dogs r moving and I'm static their dog seems to skip a few frames, teleport and move from running... to sitting there all appeased with his canabalism. It that just my opponent cntrl alt'ing me better or, is there something else I'm missing here?

Any advise would be great.

John.

use ctrl shift and then watch them at key points on the map
usually a dog that's not moving will beat a dog that is moving, so on maps like urban my advice for you is to build your barracks as close to the bridge as you can, rally point your barracks to the closest building, build a dog and have it wait there, build a second dog and switch the rally point to the other building near the bridge, and then build one last dog to move further out, that way at least your buildings are secure

If u find certain dog running angle and combine it with the dogs facing ( the one your attacking ) you can take standing dogs down with running dogs. Btw ctrl+shift sometimes screws dogs up :/

yeah + whatever i am by now. but do this and stop them just before they get to attack range that is about the best you can do. and if its really that important make a pack with 2 dogs. on urban rush go 3 dogs 2 conscripts one tesla (for fence) and engi. get 2 buildings closes to bridge with troops and dogs in pack till you get settled then gaurd the 3 ways in.

Well Best thing to do is!!! listen carefully!! This post i delete in 3 days!!

U build barack ( yes u do ), then u make a dog rally point to a spot in the map, not to far.. Then u pull ur dog a bit back, so u should have scouted more of the map then pressing S.. U can see whats coming, u can see his dog coming to ur way then u block his dog, no need to CLICK, just move ur dog in his path..

only disadvantage is ppl will keep asking u ss, cuz u block all his dogs like u have map hack.

Guys... Really appreciate the advice. Took mental notes of all of ur posts.. What a sound community. =)

I shall cease all efforts now to produce a hack. The hack being a diversion **** cat for enemy dogs to chase (cost $1)....

''click'' Select....

''Meeooooooow''...

Thanks.

John.

Bad idea. Usually when a dog kills something it jumps to its next target. So if you lose the 50/50 dog fight, you lose 2 dogs instead of 1.

Dog fight is just like a tank fight (in that nothing will ever work 100% you need to judge it), personally i don' bother with it to much normally i can scout the key area's quite well with just 3.

You can reset anything anyone does by making there dog move and running you can go around if you can see. You can also used the controls mentioned and risk it. The best players I've seen do it from observing and playing against is making 4-5 dogs and first of all using 1 dog to scout then using the others to block the key areas, while watching where they scout and moving appropriately, once you win the battles then go scout with the other dogs.

This is mainly heck though and more open maps, on small maps i really wouldn't know the best tactics, I normally get bored of them quite quickly and find a way in at some point.
