Soviet is the most basic team in the game. It's the easiest team for people to use. Is it overpowered? Vs. allies yes in the beginging, but since this is a YR discussion, allies 'generally speaking' have a large advantage in late game. Which is the classic ra2 gameplay, allies are speed, late game, finesse, annoying, soviets are brute force, power, rushing, early.
yuri doesnt play into the classic gameplay as yuri can rush, completely owns in late game with supers, and can do anything it wants.

I cant believe that was it.
But if you thought i was afraid of you you were very wrong, it appears to be the other way around (running after one win) we shall see who is the true bailer after I start to go 10-0 with you... (not trying to be cocky, but :when you are losing games to the people you do, you will not win me much)
you will want to play me as much as you can this month, as random vs yuri is very weak, but as soon as next month hits, its lights out
I eagerly anticipate the days when it becomes 'tojo fears prep'

Playing vs yuri is not fun, you have clearly more fun with Sov VS Sov or Sov VS Allies, Yr is clearly overpowed, i dont understand how pleple can ONLY play YR... about me, depend, but the 85% i bail Yr yeah, all time when i play a yuri player i'm bored. A soviet or allies player is never going to be bailed
How can you make the conclusion that it is overpowered if you do not play against Yuri? I've played against lots of challenging soviets, you can't just rush into their base with mags and masterminds then expect a win, it takes much more planning than that.

I don't think it is a coincidence that all of your rank 1's were achieved using Yuri, you would be nowhere near rank 1 using any other side.

Yuri is over-powered, but not to the extent that some people here claim.
The only reason that is true is because all the yuri players that have been on this game for the past year or so has been completely skillless.

Yuri when played with actual micro actual skill is unbeatable on nearly 90% of situations/maps, you duno how many times I've considered switching to yuri for a stretch of 4-5 months, and i can guarantee, if I were to get games, by the 3rd/4th/5th month i'd be almost unbeatable (id have to use the first two to get my bos and scouting and engi to oils correct)
The best thing about the current XWIS system is it puts boring into yuri play, so not many players play as yuri becuase theres only 8 maps and you know you are gonna get engied, lamed etc. becuase no bail time, oh and canceled at loading screen.

Not necessarily Brett can beat me.. without even teching up, which most people do in late game to overpower.

I dont mean to be a **** , but thats cause Brett is at the top of the allied hierachy on yuris revenge. If you pit 2 Equale skilled players against each other allied vs sov the sov will have the advantage early game generally.
I dontk now bretts style 100%, but I believe he's like me in he rarely techs as allies.

yes i would be near rank 1 or rank 1 if i did use another team all the time, i got top 5 allies in 2005 while using them consistently and i beat players like dean, ante, desr, andy using allies all the time.

Been to many discussions about this when there was still good players playing the game - a great many at one time. Yuri is overpowered and a **** team to play against. Getting rank 1 as Yuri means nothing, getting top 10 with yuri, again, means nothing - even back in the day when there was real competition.
Also Sovs and Allieds are pretty well balanced in YR, nothing like RA2.

Bailing newbs = Sovpussi / Drtypussi / whole clan of Kuchii
First couple of days it was ok np, but now its just ridiculous keep coming to my game not saying a word and its obvious how many yall got on almost all day and how much yall play.
So ridiculous bailing on dead game when 2on2 GG's are available.
Tryout also tentatively bailed us.
