Addition of maps to the Yuri Faction Priemer Discussion

Please note if it will be a yvs yva or yvs and a map.
Please understand this thread is only used for the discussion of what maps youd like to see be added to the yuri vs. ___, and not the allied vs sov, that will be another thread.
Personally, off the top of my head, I think heck freezes, and malibu cliffs would be excellent additions to the yuri side.
I will have a complete list of what Id want to see added to yuri side tommorow.
Discuss away, your opinion is needed!

Id just hate to put players on sedona and say "go collect all the tech buildings."
Like, if we can only get 4-5 maps, then sure its a possibility. but I have a feeling theres a god 10 maps out there we can ahead of sedona

ye i know what you mean, i think it'd also be good to do some testing of the maps before hand tooI duno man, to me sedona would be ok if we dont get much maps.

Heres how it works:
I give grades based on if they shud be in qm or not, C to me is passing. F is failing, A is passing 100% IMO.
1. Happy trails - The crates are kind of whack, but once u get passed that i wonder how this game would go... I rate this as a C- grade, due to the fact that the ore/gems in middle means yuri could mag much there, however with iraq desos it could cause alot of chaos. I rate this as a B+ iraq vs yuri map, and a C- allied vs. yuri.
2. Loaded Barrell - Now i remember having classic battles here with yuri, however the problem with this is the garrisionable structures. I think itd be way to easy for yuri to all out camp here. I rate this as a D.
3. Pinch point - Interesting? I think it does favor yuri in where he can move his miners all around tho.. and the cliffs here a small nightmare, I rate this a D.
4. Soverign Land - Kinda same situation, ciffs make it hard to accept this map.. D
5. Cold War - While the navy is still here, i think its an ok map to put in? There's ways to counter navy, and if a yuri goes all out navy, just rush. This would be an intersting discussions on this map. Id rate this as a C+
6. Brink of disaster - The cliffs also make it a nightmare here, but its very much less evident then other maps. I think this is a B- map.
7. Carvilles convoys - Tons of oils here, cliffs, kinda even it all out, i think this is a B- map.
8. City under siege - Mags might own here, same as disc, and so many garrisonable structures. But id rather play a yuri here then hidden valley, or blood feud! C-
9. Downtown cityville - I think yuri would have a hard time getting access to the middle techs here, which would equal it out, I rate this as a C map.
10. Face down - Anyone else want this map in? Yeah yuri could navy rush, but then u have ur mcv in midde and hopefully u can all out rush him? I duno, for some reason ive always had success vs yuri here. I rate this a C-.
11. Four corners - To much trees and cliffs here, but worth a discussion on. D.
12. Ground zero - While yuri could move his miner to middle, you can just as easily aquire middle as well. I think this would be good for svy, bad for avy? I duno, I rate it a C+
13. Head for the hills - After playing this a few times, there is not much trees in important areas, the cliffs arnt as important early in game for mags, and theirs no garrisonable structures! I think this would be an excellent yuri map. I rate this a B+.
14. Lost lake - Water map kinda hurts, but you would be able to outproduce yuri in many areas making it equal. I rate this a C+
15. Mt Olympus - Interesting choice here, if yuri gains upperhand then obviously u have no chance due to cliffs, but if u got upper hand then its a good battle. I rate this a C-.
16. No wimps - Water plays a factor early, would be hard, but u can buidl away / build subs for thi one, I duno, i rate this one as a borderline C-/D+.
17. Paris revisited - This map seems quite ok. The yuri miners own here, and many garrisons hurt it, but once u get passed that it would make for some interesting battles. I rate it a C-.
18. Sinkhole - I duno about this one, yuri miners cant mine gems in middle due to radiation lol, but it would make it weird/fair in a way. I rate this one a borderline C-/D+
19. Snow valley - While teh cliffs are terrible here, once again id ratehr play yuri here then hidden valley or blood. I rate this a D+.
20. Snowballs chance - Im not gonna front ive only played this maybe 30-50 times, and havent played it in a while, but i think this map could make for some good fair combat... C.
21. Tanyas training grounds - While the yuri player wud have a hard time competiing with the oils, the cliffs, and his miner abilities should make up for it. I really like this map in qm for yuri and would rate it a B.
22. Tower of power - Sunny wanted this one in qm vs. yuri. I think it'd be interesting, cliffs are still there, but i think id rate this a C/ C+.
23. Arena 33 forever - Techs and gems and no garrisons no cliffs, but thousands of trees, kinda equales out everything. I like this map alot for yuri qm, rate it a B+.
24. Bridging the gap - The cliffs are a nightmare here, but everything else is the equalizer. C+.
25. Defcon 6 - yuri miners are overpowered here, but everything else is fair.. i rate this a C-.

The reason I think tourney B is a better choice is no hills. Tourny A a mag can kill you to GG.
tourny B you can run wild while he has boomers.
Add heck.
If heck was the only map in qm it would make me happy.
Heck will almost surely be added to the yuri faction side . and most likely the other sides as well.
Defcon 6 and malibu cliffs would be ok I think
Malibu for sure, defcon 6 id like some opinions on!

Pinch Point would be hilarious.
SV HELL NO! It's impossible to beat yuri there.
Cold War would be fine.
Brink would be decent, but ya cliffs...I dunno.
Carville ya.
Downtown Cityville no wai.
City under Seige would be fine, cas u can always get around.
Head for teh hills ya.
Mt Olympus would be fun.
Ground zero n lost lake ya.
No wimps can die.
Paris would be fun.

Tanyas I give an A- cas theres so much tech that no1 has any advantage.
Arena, Bridging, Defcon, Heck, & Malibu Yes.
Turni b no way. I've played them there. Navy stretch + boomer early on wins.
Dbl trbl and austin suck.

Pinch would be funny cas most players move to mid and if yuri moves it would be funny to see how they do.

my problem with pinch is yuri can just move his miners anywhere he wants.. so he wudnt have to move his mcv... giving him an unfair adantage

LOL! Ok heres how this game would go.id like to see deadmans ridge in avy (with no supers). why? because there are lots of resources for the allied player, sure its gonna be a very long game but i think it would be fun. the mags arent too overpowered there since allies can easily kill them with prisms, and theres only one real entrance.
ok when i think about it... it might be too much camping... but you should consider it.
First few mins they build up a base, take techs, etc. Yuri makes war than radar, 2gats and 1mag. That 1 mag murders every allied unit/miner in the map. GG

Sea of isolation
The techs here make for an even battle, even tho this is navy based, i cannot stretch this enough.
a boomer rush CAN BE stopped on this map.
plus, Robot tanks would actually be useful Avy on this map.

Boomer rush can easily be stopped here...
but i can see if you guys dont want to put this map in.
its quit fun tho, and its pretty balanced,
allies run this map.

Yeah, this cant be in . Its just to hard to play with 100 techs 100 garrisons, water, land, etc. lol

Yuri is actually at a disadvantage here if SWs are not on.
Thinking about it.. I do agree with avy on double trouble. I do not think this would be a good svy map tho.

Malibu is another good idea, splits vs yuri miners sounds fun, almost like gsf but bigger.
HFO is pretty good idea.
Tower of power is decent too.
Other ones seem horrible and unfair.
