I reinstalled my game today (ra2), launched it, clicked the custom game button to update it to 1.006, but I received the error message to check my internet connection and try again later. I downloaded the patch and installed it manually. I restarted my computer, and now I get this error message when I try to start the game: "Unable to initialize ra2.csf. Please reinstall Red Alert." I didn't get the message before I updated the game to 1.006.
I tried reinstalling the game but the same thing happens. I tried downloading the patch from different places but the same thing happens. I removed any programs that might interfere with Red Alert 2 (XCC Utilities, Tibed etc.). I defragmented and cleaned my registry as well.
Any ideas? I never heard of this problem before. Thanks.
