I stopped playing RA2 a few months back and now wish to play online again, i have installed the game on windows vista and have downloaded the 1.006en patch from 3 different websites, (not yet from s-t) but when i try to install the patch it says "Missing or invalid registry/INI entry" could some1 please help me get around this problem and is there something to do with it being windows Vista that it is not working? some1 please help, thanks, Joey

also i get this come up when i try to play online, (it used to automatically download the 1.006 patch from here but this comes up now) :


i wud appreciate any help and also a reply as soon as possible as i wud like to play ra2 online again... also i have inatalled and reinstalled the game at least 6 times and the same thing happens over and over...

Are you running the game as an administrator?

[Strategst]

Insert the install disk of the game.
Cancel out of the autorun.
Double click on the My Computer icon.
Right click on the CD that contains the game CD.
From the drop down menu select explore.
Find and click on the Setup.exe program. This will start the installer.
One of the opening screens will ask you what you want to install. Unselect everything but the Shared Internet Components.
If you are asked to overwrite the preexisting file say yes.
