When clicking internet, I don't enter a login screen, instead I get fetching server list?
Answer: Go to Start > Run and type C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. Hit enter, open it up with Notepad and clear any westwood related entries in there. Save and retry. AND/OR install the XWIS Client Hit XWIS, close and retry.

Won't work. I checked this server earlier for recruiting purposes and I can't delete anymore :p You can't choose XWIS as preffered server anymore.

hmm open this "hosts" file manually and edit with notepad - delete all strings which have "westwood.com" or something same, better to delete all leaving 127.0.0.1 only. if it wont be edited(unable to save changes) you need uncheck "read only" in file properties

*in windows xp file located %windows%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Just a question: I was messing around with my 'hosts' file while the XWIS server was down, ended up deleting it. I then used that^ xwis client thing to bring it back, now my 'hosts' file is completely empty, and yet RA2 still works? I don't know anything about IPs or servers btw.

RA2 still does work, I was just wondering why when my hosts file was empty. Thanks for that helpful advice though, if I ever learn how to make a virus, I'll make sure to add that format line and upload it to you! :D , jokes

gg btw, I nearly had u I think! :p
