It might be possible to create an automatic SS uploader for RA2 that would take a ss when you press a certain key and automatically upload the ss to the XWIS site to be shown at the game details page. Would there be any interest in this?

what about u make it so that u can request a ss from the other player,
if u both have it running u can request a ss and it will be automaticly taken and uploaded. :o

Considering XFC basically did this a few months ago. It's no wonder that you would finally get to doing this, especially since your ''fix for freeze at exit'' release with a new screenshot feature.

XGS (and MF/XWIF before that) have had a ss feature for years. It's not due to XFC.Considering XFC basically did this a few months ago. It's no wonder that you would finally get to doing this, especially since your ''fix for freeze at exit'' release with a new screenshot feature.

Yes, but did those programs upload the screen shots after taking them? XFC took the screen shot with r/dpl info and uploaded it upon request from another player.
You could integrate this SS uploader using the same ideas. Once a player is requested a SS or after a certain time period a SS is taken and uploaded to game info page or a designated web page.
Anyway your idea is good, I look forward to seeing it in action if you end up making it.

are you considering including the xfc capability in this ss taker? If it could be done I think it could largely eliminate cheating

Sounds good. More convenient than having to go to ST > Fair Play Forum > Start New Topic... etc. By the time you've done all that, you could've played another match. Also, assuming that the SS's will be opened through xwis.net and not ST, you can upload the SS without people knowing who you are, which could lessen the amount of good players getting bailed.

It can be done. It should be even easier for Olaf to add that feature then it was for Bart.

If the program that did this could be used to either
1. work at the instant request of another player (w/ ofc limitations)
2. randomly generate ss's in any ranked game.
only then would I really vote for it, cause then it would actually have a huge impact on cheaters and the integrity of others
